What is 1104Health’s role in clinical trials?

1104Health serves as a bridge between clinical researchers, primary care physicians, and patients to increase and accelerate trial enrollment. Our role is providing tech and services to quickly download physicians on Trial IP, prescreen patients for clinical trials, connect the dots to ensure seamless communication between the care team, and provide free patient navigation. Our goal is to increase clinical trial participation and accelerate the discovery of new treatments.

How does 1104Health help with patient recruitment for clinical trials?

We work closely with primary care physicians to help them understand trial opportunities and prescreen appropriate patients. Our efforts and toolset then ensure a smoother, faster enrollment process. We have 1:1 patient navigators guiding them along the way to educate, set expectations, and close the communication loop with all parties. Patient navigation is a free service.

How does 1104Health connect primary care physicians with clinical trials?

Through our 1104Health Network, we build strong relationships with primary care physicians, keeping them informed about relevant clinical trials for their patients. Physicians can access all trials on the 1104Health platform for quick access to Trial IP and prescreener. We also connect them with the Principal Investigators (PIs) leading the trials, ensuring clear communication and regular updates about their patients’ progress.

What is the Patient Companion App and how does it support clinical trial participation?

We provide free patient navigation upon oncologists request, and we’ll be launching a patient companion app soon that lets the patient interact with a patient friendly toolset for additional education on clinical trials.

How are physicians compensated for their efforts?

Physicians are compensated at fair market value for their time spent evaluating all treatment and trial options for their patients. Once a physician joins the 1104Health network, they have access to the tool set, as well as the opportunity for compensation.

What does it cost to join the network?

It is free for physicians to join the 1104Health network, and patient navigation is a free service provided within.

1104Health is free for physicians to join and use. Pharma looking to subscribe to the network pay an annual subscription fee – reach out for more information.

Go to app.1104health.com or download the app from the App Store or Google Play. You can start using the platform right away — no agreement required. You’ll only need to sign a Physician Services Agreement if you want to participate in the compensation program.

Is this platform HIPAA compliant?

Yes. The platform is built on a HIPAA-secure infrastructure, so patient information shared through messages and files stays protected.

What happens when I refer a patient — do I lose visibility into their care?

No. When you refer or share a patient, you keep ongoing visibility into their care through your 1104Health homepage. You’re not handing them off; you’re getting support.

How are physicians compensated?

Providers earn Shared Care points for things you’re likely already doing — responding to or initiating a curbside question, joining a roundtable, doing care coordination. Every 15 minutes of work earns 1 point, which is then paid out at $100/ point (benchmarked at $400/hour Fair Market Value). You’re paid monthly, directly, via Tipalti or check.

How does 1104Health make money?

We contract with biopharma companies through a subscription model. That funding supports the infrastructure connecting you with subspecialists — it doesn’t influence your clinical decisions.
